Cathy Kalamaras

Managing Executive: People

Having always known that people were her passion, Cathy obtained a national diploma in HR from Wits before spending six years in the UK working across a variety of roles, gaining valuable international experience. In 2000, Cathy returned to South Africa and joined the Adcorp Group, a large human capital company offering staffing solutions to large blue chip companies and working extensively in the BPO sector. There, she teamed up with the national industry body BPeSA and the DTI to attract international investors to South Africa.

In one of her roles, Cathy participated in the initial establishment of Webhelp in South Africa. She was delighted to find that we share her values and drive to bring investment to the country and in July 2015 made the move to Webhelp, where she had been instrumental in setting up the people division.

Cathy is passionate about initiatives that positively impact the youth of South Africa and has co-driven various impact sourcing initiatives, with the aim of creating equal employment opportunities for unemployed youth to develop and thrive within Webhelp.
