Webhelp South Africa shortlisted for five CCMG industry awards

Leading BPO provider, Webhelp South Africa, has been shortlisted in five categories at this year’s Contact Centre Management Group (CCMG) Industry Awards, taking place in Johannesburg on 29 August.

The nominees and categories are:

  • – Adnaan Ajam – Best Contact Center Trainer
  • – Yunus Haroun – Best Contact Centre Support Professional – Workforce Planning
  • – Amanda Mahlambi – Best Contact Centre Support Professional – Workforce Planning
  • – Clinton Smith – Best Incentive Scheme
  • – Adam Walker – Best Technology Innovation: Internal Solution

Adnaan Ajam, Trainer at the Claremont Cape Town site, receives his nomination for an impressive show of self-motivation and self-learning. He has also been crucial in designing models to assist operations for new starters ensuring allowances were made for different learning styles.

oth Yunus Haroun and Amanda Mahlambi, Junior Planning and Delivery Managers at the Claremont Cape Town and Parktown Johannesburg sites, stood out for their demonstrable enthusiasm and passion in looking for new avenues to improve the way the business works. Seen as mentors amongst their colleagues, both show strong communication and problem solving skills.

Clinton Smith, Divisional Manager at the Parktown Johannesburg site, receives his nomination after implementing a real time incentive scheme where colleagues can earn and build up ‘bucks’ which can be auctioned off on payday for items such as TVs and beats headsets.

Further nominated is Adam Walker, Head of Learning and Development at Webhelp’s Claremont Cape Town site, who is recognised for creating an Enterprise Learning Platform, known as ONE. This in-house tool acts as a vehicle for sharing all internal communications, subsequently encouraging a culture of self-learning as well as providing an extended range of support services and functions at the click of a button.

Adam has also been nominated for a BPeSA Award in the category of ‘Innovation Award – Technical Innovation (Internal)’. These annual contact centre awards provide a platform to recognise best practice within the industry.

Commenting on the nominations, Craig Gibson, CEO at Webhelp South Africa, said: “I am very proud of all five team members shortlisted. To be nominated across the different categories demonstrates how hard the team has worked to deliver innovative thinking and best practice to Webhelp in South Africa”.

The CCMG Industry Awards, run by experienced contact centre professionals, celebrate leading individuals and top performing companies in South Africa’s contact centre industry.
