Job Description

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as Business Development Director. Thanks to our numerous locations across the UK, we are flexible to where this role is based, but travel within the UK will be required. You’ll work across various sectors in the market, using executive and senior stakeholder relationships to identify and win opportunities for new business growth. You will use existing networks to engage and identify large opportunities (typically £1m + ACV).

We specialise in customer experience outsourcing but our capabilities extend across voice, social and digital channels. Our outsourced services have also expanded to include payment management, sales and marketing services. We deliver services to a range of sectors, including telecommunications, retail, financial services, energy, media and travel. In the last four years alone, our revenues have grown by more than 250%.

As Business Development Director, you will provide direct access to C level for Tier 1/2 New Logo target accounts, using established personal relationships. You’ll engage directly with senior stakeholders to generate and own a pipeline of qualified leads, continuously working your existing personal network to identify new opportunities. You will produce a targeted sales plan to include products and services that exist across the entire Webhelp Group.

To be considered for this role, you should have proven experience in a senior business development role and be able to demonstrate an outstanding conversion rate. You’ll be well networked and respected at C level, with an evident track record developing relationships. You will also have the ability to develop compelling sales plans and translate clients’ needs into compelling propositions.

In addition, you’ll be degree educated, have experience working in a matrix management environment and have the ability to work in collaboration across the business. You should hold significant experience working within the Customer Management industry with a thorough understanding of industry trends, within both vertical sectors and outsourcing. Experience across multi sectors is preferable.

Finally, you’ll be able to demonstrate, understand and comply with all legislative requirements including but not limited to FSA, CCA, GDPR, OFCOM and OFGEM.
